Title IV-E
Foster Care and
Adoption Assistance Program
Title IV-E represents the most significant source of federal funding allocated to support state and local child welfare programs and the children and families served by these local programs. In State Fiscal Year (SFY) 2011, the Department claimed over $107,000,000 from the federal Title IV-E program to fund child welfare services in Wisconsin. As an example, federal Title IV-E revenue generated in SFY 11 from the federal Title IV-E program was used to support the child welfare-related operations and services.
