The Division of Safety and Permanence mission is to ensure that children are safe in their own homes, and when that is not possible, to assure they are provided a safe and loving foster or adoptive home.  Programs administered by the DSP include but are not limited to:

• Adoption, including Special Needs Adoption & Adoption Search
• Child Protective Services
• Bureau of Milwaukee Child Welfare
• Foster Care
• Kinship Care
• Independent Living and the ETV Program
• Brighter Futures
• Domestic Violence
• Indian Child Welfare
