Who we are - an Introduction to DCF/DFES/BWF/PTS
The Department of Children and Families, Division of Family and Economic Security, Bureau of Working Families, Partner Training Section (PTS)
PTS is the work unit of the DCF Bureau of Working Families, whose task is to ensure quality training in support of the Department of Children and Families programs administered by its partner agencies throughout Wisconsin.
PTS plays a key developmental role in bridging the gap between policy development and program implementation, and stimulating ongoing professional development and quality improvement for program staff.
PTS works closely with policy and systems analysts to provide appropriate training for various job functions within the job center and county administering agencies.
Our Jobs
The Partner Training Section creates training programs that respond to new service delivery needs and policy development in collaboration with local agencies. PTS determines the appropriate methodology for meeting the training need. Methods used include stand-up classroom training, on site/technical assistance, conference presentations, job aids, computer-based training, and a variety of distance learning methodologies. Training is presented locally, regionally or statewide, depending upon the identified audience or training resources.
Areas of expertise in PTS include several programmatic areas: Wisconsin Works (W-2), workforce development strategies, and case management procedures.
Our Value Statements
The Partner Training Section believes that:

It is vital to recognize achievements, both individual and organizational, regularly and publicly.
