Rationale for Reasonable Suspicion of Program Violation:

Department of Children and Families revoked the license of this child care program on July 27, 2009. On July 20, 2009, Eau Claire County Department of Human Services identified that provider had received more child care payments than the center was eligible to receive. During its audit, ECCDHS determined that from January 5, 2009 to May 30, 2009 CC & U Special Need Day Care received overpayments of $7,641.41. Some of the overpayments were received for the time period between January 26, 2009 and February 21, 2009, when the provider charged the county for child care subsidy payments even though the provider did not have the original daily attendance records as required. Other overpayments were accumulated when the county was charged for child care subsidy payments on days when too many children were in care.
